Gateway to the Dominion
Tucked away in the remote Ferra Sector, the Sast system lies far from the galactic hyperlanes — accessible only via a narrow and unstable corridor known as Anom’s Run. This minor route, discovered by famed explorer and shipwright Anom Anath, connects the system to the little-used Hypori–Geonosis–Excarga lane. Its isolation made it an ideal staging ground for a different kind of power.
Originally settled by human colonists from Hypori, the system was later reinforced with deported Imperial loyalists from the Stygian Caldera, forming an Outer Rim redoubt during the final days of Sith Imperial control. Today, Sast is the heart of the Nightfall Dominion, serving as both its birthplace and its capital sector.
Worlds of the System
Anath – The Dominion’s capital world. A fertile agriworld undergoing rapid industrialization, Anath is the location of New Anthium, the royal seat of power. Most of the population lives here, and the planet is protected by orbital defense platforms and planetary shields.
Crassus – The Gilded Moon, a setting of mystery and intrigue. The moon of Crassus is steeped in history – not all of it pleasant. To this day, some might fairly call it lawless beneath its shimming veneer.
Secar – A frigid world home to deep mining operations, secret research installations, and a string of military black sites. Uninhabitable on the surface, Secar’s dark reputation stems from rumors of gulags and biological experimentation.
Tryos – A lifeless planet with no atmosphere. Currently used as a testing ground and weapons range, and rumored to house clandestine research facilities deep beneath its scorched surface.
Strategic Importance
Since the Imperial Reclamation of Anath in 21 ATC, Sast has grown into a major military hub. The Nightfall Navy now calls the system home, with shipyards, drydocks, and staging areas spread across the moons and orbits of its inner worlds. Shielded by the dense gas clouds of the Cruciferum and the unstable corridor of the Cloak of the Sith, the system is notoriously difficult to access — and even harder to escape.
For the Dominion, Sast is more than just a homeworld. It is a fortress, a symbol, and a proving ground for a rising power unbound by the rule of the Sith Empire.
