DIS operatives are provided with standard-issue equipment to allow them to carry out their designated assignments. Different units may also be given specialist equipment after receiving specific training. This list is by no means exhaustive, but provides an overview of some gear that operatives receive.
---

**Restraints** - Standard-issue. Made of sturdy duraplast, restraints are used in typical arrests. They are also equipped with a shock component which may be used if subjects are aggressive or uncooperative.
---

**Knives** - Standard-issue. Most field operatives carry knives, often strapped to the boot or thigh. They can be used as melee weapons or as tools, providing a versatility prized by Agents.
---

**Slicing kit** - Available after receiving slicing training. Operatives are often trained in computer slicing, as field duties often include recovering sensitive information from hostile parties. Compact and sturdy design makes DIS-issued slicing kits durable and easy to carry. They also include a concealed factory reset button in the event an Agent is captured.
---

**Smoke grenades** - Standard-issue. Field operatives often make use of smoke to confuse and control groups of enemies to maintain the upper hand. In the event of detection, scouts can utilise smoke grenades to make a quick escape.
---

**Grapple gun** - Standard-issue. Grapple guns are used often in field operations, equipped with a retractable grappling hook capable of launching up to 100 metres, allowing agents to scale buildings or traverse difficult terrain quickly.
---

**Shock baton** - Riot police exclusive. Riot police use shock batons during periods of civil unrest to incapacitate and for crowd control. They are used mainly defensively alongside riot shields.
---

**Riot shields** - Riot police exclusive. These shields are used to push back large crowds and block potential attacks. Locking mechanisms on each side allow multiple shields to lock together and form a wider barrier. The sustained energy field absorbs blaster fire and can administer a shock if touched.
---

**Taser** - Law enforcement exclusive. Tasers administer barbed darts that embed in the skin of the target and administer a shock. They are used to subdue volatile targets for arrest. Settings can be adjusted to control the level of shock administered.
---

**Standard baton** - Law enforcement standard-issue, available for field operatives on request. Equipped with a collapsible side handle for versatile use, batons are used both defensively and offensively. They are swung to create momentum at the tip of the baton, which can break bone if used properly.
---

**Blasters** - There are many types of blasters and carbines available to Agents. Long-range sniper rifles are available after marksman training.
